The Avocado Salsa Taquera is one of our favourite dips this summer. Found on most taco stalls across Mexico, it’s the perfect combination of creamy, fresh and spicy. It’s the perfect dip to accompany our new Smokey Chipotle chips, serve alongside crudité or top a fish taco.
Ingredients for a big sharing bowl of delicious salsa:
– 300g tinned or fresh tomatillos (drained)
– 1 medium size avocado
– ¼ of a small onion
– 1/4 of a garlic clove
– 1 green fresh jalapeño chilli
– 8tbsp roughly sliced Coriander
– Sea salt to taste
– 4tbs of water
Simply blend all ingredients until the salsa is well combined but still looks rustic. Taste it and check for seasoning and heat level, if you want it hotter, add more chilli!
