We’re beyond excited that we’ve earned our first-ever product award, for our Chilli & Lime tortilla chips from Blas na h-Eireann.
It means a lot to the team that Blanco Niño Chilli & Lime tortilla chips have been recognised by Blas na h-Eireann.
Phil said: “It’s just over a year since we launched our tortilla chips to shops in Ireland, so winning the Blas award is a great recognition of the massive efforts by all the team. I’d like to thank all of our customers, our incredible team and all our wonderful suppliers and partners here in Ireland and across the Americas. We do our very best to preserve and maintain the traditional, slow and authentic tortilla making process, and I’m really joyed customers who seem to be enjoying the chips and supporting independent Irish producers like ourselves.”
Other Award Nominations
Blanco Niño has also been shortlisted for the Green Food and Beverage Producers COVID-19 Response Award. The award will recognise the most effective and outstanding initiatives created/developed by food and beverage producers in Ireland in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, who can demonstrate innovation and excellence, particularly in relation to manufacturing, supply chain, and sustainability.
Finally, for now, we’re also proud to announce that Food & Wine Magazine Ireland has nominated Blanco Niño as Emerging Producer of the Year, alongside some other outstanding producers. The winner will be offered the chance to develop a product line with Simply Better / Dunnes Stores and will receive mentoring advice from both the Simply Better team and from Gillian Nelis (Editor of Food&Wine). What an incredible opportunity for whoever wins it. The panel will have a hard job deciding. Good luck to everyone.
